The United States Government will begin reporting for eligible professionals on January 1st, 2011.
What Does This Mean for You?
Eligible professionals can receive up to $44,000 over five years under the Medicare EHR Incentive Program.
Eligible professionals can receive up to $63,750 over the six years that they choose to participate in the program, under the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.
To be eligible for your share of the $63,750 that is covered under the HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health) Act, you must have an EMR in place in 2011 and it must meet identified meaningful use criteria.
