MedcomSoft Record 4.6 Update Instructions

Note: Make sure you are logged in to computer as Domain Administrator.

  1. 1. Click the Download button to start the update files download to your machine.

  2. 2. Click the Run button on Update Utility page.

  3. 3. Click Run to accept Security Warning.

  4. 4. Read the Update Disclaimer and click I Agree to continue.

  5. 5. On Update Utility screen box, select the appropriate Update Type:

    • Select Application Client / Workstation, if you are updating a workstation machine that does not contain MedcomSoft Record database.
    • Select Standalone/ Server, if you are updating the server.

  6. 6. Enter your clinic Username and Password and click OK. Each clinic with a valid maintenance agreement is issued a username and password. If you do not have one, please contact MedcomSoft Technical Support at 877.246.5120 to obtain your clinic specific username and password.


  7. 7. On Update Utility screen, based on selection in #6, various update files will be available to run. Release filter indicates the date of the latest release for your information.

    • Application Client / Workstation option:



      Click Select all to check all the files and click Apply Updates.
    • Server/ Standalone option:



      Click Select all to check all the files and click Apply Updates.

    Note:

    • The number of files to update may vary from Application Client / Workstation mode to Server/ Standalone mode.
    • If you are not sure of the files to be update, you can select the Release Filter drop down list and select the update based on the release date and click Get Updates

  8. 8. Once the update is completed, the following messages will appear to indicate the end of update.


  9. You have now successfully updated your machine.
